About Damon

I have been playing the saxophone for over 17 years in various capacities.  I performed with the St. Augustine H.S. Marching, Jazz and Concert Bands.  I attended the Louisiana School for Math Science and the Arts, with a dual focus in Math/Science and Music.  While there I participated in the LSMSA Jazz band as well as the Natchitoches Central H.S. Marching Band.  I graduated from West Jefferson High School in Harvey, LA.  I attended Florida A & M University and marched with the FAMU "Marching 100" from 1997 to 1999.  While at FAMU, pursuing an Electrical Engineering Degree, I created a jam band, Urbanasia.  In addition, I played the saxophone at a variety of churches: Higher Praise of Deliverance COGIC and Higher Heights Christian Fellowship in Tallahassee, FL, Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Quincy, FL.  I have played at the FAMU Homecoming Talent Show, was featured performer with Urbanasia at  Alpha Week Talent Showcase, and have played at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival,  Gospel Music Productions' Macon Gospel Showcase, and many other venues.  I have been in the middle Georgia area since 2003, upon my graduation from Florida A&M University and have been performing in the local area ever since.  I look forward to continued success in music and my other endeavors
